Lime is the most important among all the prevalent home remedies for common cold. Lime juice should be diluted in a glass of warm water with addition of the teaspoon of honey. It is ideal remedy for cold and dry cough.
Soup and garlic supplement is the best cure for cold.
Garlic oil combined with onion juice, diluted with water must be taken several times a day.
Cut the ginger into small pieces and then boiled in a cup of water. Strain the mixture and add half teaspoon of sugar and drink only warm. Ginger tea is beneficial in the treatment of colds.
Mix half a teaspoon of fresh turmeric powder to 30-35 grams of milk and hot beverages in short intervals for immediate relief from the cold.
A hot water bath is recommended because it relieves the patient's chest and nasal congestion.
Hot packs are excellent for cold chest and head.
Inhaling steam also relieve congestion nasal tissues.
Various yogasanas as bhujangasana, shalabhansana, dhanurasana are also very effective in treating colds.
Steam with Karvol or Vicks is equally effective
Any hot drink soothes the entire respiratory tract.
Boil peppers and 7 Black 7 balls of sugar in the water of 200-250 grams. Stop boiling when a quarter of the water is left. Hot drink and cover the whole body for 10-15 minutes. Repeat twice a day morning and evening.
Take 10 grams of Sprague in a clean cloth and tie all the pieces of fabric. Heat the fabric in a boat and then the sniff. This is the best remedy to remove the blockage of the nose.
Methods for cold comfort
Lemon barley water - Cut the lemon into two pieces, then place it in a large pot with 2 tablespoons of barley. Pour boiling water into the jug, cover and leave overnight. The next morning, strain the liquid and drink with or without the addition of honey. This drink should be taken so that the burden should be prepared daily.
Lemonade - Wash the lemons and remove the crust without white, including pith. Put the zest in a saucepan with half the water and sugar. Bring to a boil for the sugar is dissolved. Cover the pan and simmer for a few minutes. Cool, then strain the mixture, add lemon juice and remaining water from the pitcher. Drink without any additives.
