Traditional Chinese Medicine
(TCM) is an integral part of Chinese culture. He made a great contribution to the prosperity of China. Today, two of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine are used to provide health services in China. TCM, with its diagnostic methods, systematic approach, abundant historical literature and materials, has attracted many attentions from the international community. TCM is recognized for its remarkable effectiveness in the creation of the side effects caused by toxic substances and chemical treatment of all cancers in western health care system.

In China, traditional Chinese medicine is under the administration of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacology. Traditional Chinese medicine and its development are regulated. National strategies, laws and regulations governing TCM are now in place to guide and promote research and development in this promising industry. 

 TCM is defined as a medical science governing the theory and practice of traditional Chinese medicine. It includes Chinese medication, pharmacology / herbalogy, acupuncture, massage and Qigong.

Hospitals in China are classified as specialized in western health care system, traditional Chinese medicine, or both. TCM is now available to 75% of the area of China. TCM has been very effective in treating diseases such as cardio-cerebro-vascular, immune, tumors, fractures, and so scientific research and clinical experience in traditional Chinese medicine continues to grow. Successes have been achieved in many areas such as roads in the meridians, in Zheng-syndrome, diagnosis, therapeutic principles in the healing of patients with shock of emergency, acute DIC, acute myocardial infarction myocardial and renal failure. For the treatment of the fracture, the method adopted is based on the theory of the combination of mobilization and immobilization. Non-prescribed antibacterial compounds are used successfully in the treatment of bacterial infection. In the treatment of cancers, Fuzheng requirements Guben compound, although no inhibitory effects on cancer cells, may cause shrinkage of the mass of cancer. To ensure the quality and supply of crude and more than 600 production bases and 13,000 farms have been established. There are over 800 pharmaceutical plants Chinese medicines with an annual production of 400,000 tonnes over 5000 varieties.

Colleges and universities in China are providing degree and diploma courses in TCM. It takes seven years of university studies to complete a doctorate in traditional Chinese medicine. Cross education in both TCM and western parts of the system are planned for medical students with major in one of the other systems. Vocational training is offered at night school or through courses.

The attitude towards traditional Chinese medicine and pharmacy in the world is changing. A large number of specialists in traditional Chinese medicine were invited by the countries of Asia, Europe, America and others to lecture on traditional Chinese medicine or to operate in therapy and medicine Chinese traditional scientific research. In China, among the students in natural sciences, those who major in traditional Chinese medicine represents the highest percentage. World Health Organization has set up 7 collaborating centers for traditional medicine and pharmacology. International training centers have been established in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Nanjing and Xiame rsonnel around the world. Colleges of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture have been based in France, the United States, Italy and Australia. An institute of traditional Chinese medicine theoretical research has been established in the University of Munich in Germany. Cooperation in traditional Chinese medicine has been established between China and Japan, the United States and Germany.

There are fundamental differences in traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine. With a little understanding of Chinese culture and philosophies, may help to see through and begin to appreciate the value of traditional Chinese medicine.
