Manipulations for Infantile Tuina

METHOD OF OPERATION
    
Manipulation carried out by pushing a wastraightly on the point of the radial dimension of the thumb pad or index and middle finger is called directly pushing manipulation. In operation, the surface of the finger exerting force should attach firmly to the operated area or point. Force should be exercised regularly, but not stickily (Fig. 39).
   
CLINICAL APPLICATION
      
This is one of the most common infant handling tuina.the handling is applicable to linear points throughout the body such as kaitianmen, tuitianzhugu, handling is also suitable for regional points, such as pushing and Pitu Feijing. The transaction is primarily between the points of the reduction method. But strengthening or reducing the effect induced by pressure on certain points, are affected by directions to the clinic to be determined by the thrust of the parties and points.


   Pushing rotation Manipulation (Xuantuifa)
      
METHOD OF OPERATION
   
Make the rotation clockwise on this point with the pad of the cut at high speed and with the regular force (Fig. 40).
      
CLINICAL APPLICATION
  
The technique has energizing effect and is applicable to points on the fingers, such as strengthening Pitu and Weijing Shenjing (spleen, stomach and kidney meridians).


Separation of manipulation (Fenfa)
      
METHOD OF OPERATION
     
Push from a point at both its sides with a radius whorl appearance of the surface of the photo or the pads of the index and middle finger. In operation, the effort of force by both hands must be even and coordination of traffic should be along a straight line (Fig. 41).
        
CLINICAL APPLICATION
     
Handling is geared to points on the head, face, chest, abdomen and back regions.
   
Joining Manipulation (Hera)
        
METHOD OF OPERATION
   
Push from both sides from one point to the center of the whorl surface of two inches. The transaction is contrary to that of separating the manipulation. This manipulation is also called Hefa (Meeting manipulation).
        
CLINICAL APPLICATION
  
This manipulation, ation is mainly operated on the hand, for example, by pushing the hand yin and yang points, which has the effect to regulate yin and yang and the balance of Zang and Fu Organs .
  
Stifle Manipulation (Qiafa)
       
METHOD OF OPERATION
   
Handling highly exploited by stabbing with a nail or pressing a point in time is called stifle manipulation. In operation, the force should be gradually until it enters the deep, and be sure not to injure the skin. Gently knead the local area is often applied after choking to relieve the sensation of irritation. Manipulation is often used in combination with handling and mixing, kneading manipulation called stifle (Fi 42).
      
CLINICAL APPLICATION
     
Stifle manipulation is a manipulation by inducing a strong Tuina infant stimulation, which applies to points on the face and four extremities, such as Shuigou (GV 26), Suliao (GV 25), Neiguan (PC 6), Laolong. The method is used to cotrknonly serious problems such as convulsions, loss of consciousness of its work to encourage the rehabilitation and restoration of consciousness and relieve spasms.


Arc-to-Manipulation (Yunfa)
      
METHOD OF OPERATION
  
A handling operated by pushing and rubbing on some points, arcs or rotary road with your thumb or finger in the middle is called arc-the manipulation. In handling, light and idling is recommended without involving the deep muscle tissue. The frequency is at best 80 to 100 times per minute (Fig. 43).
      
CLINICAL APPLICATION
   
The handling is light, mild and moderate in nature and often applied to the operation on some specific points on the hand, such as Yunbagua. It has the effect of promoting qi to activate blood circulation and regulating qi meridian. Cold, fever, indigestion and abdominal distention and borborygrnus are often treated with this manipulation.


Pinch Manipulation (Nief)
       
METHOD OF OPERATION
  
Support of the skin with the radial aspect of the thumb, on with the index and middle finger. Then, grab and lift the skin in place with three fingers simultaneously. Does the lifting and pinching with both hands to turn and move forward. Or use the radial aspect of the middle of the jaw flexed index to support the skin, help to move forward. Then enter the skin and lift force with two fingers and move forward while the two hands are in turn a result of the manipulation. In operation, the force used for lifting and pinching of the skin should be smooth, and the twist and rotation operations must be avoided. Squeeze, then the lifting of the relaxation of the skin should be done one after the other along
one way (Fig. 44).
      
CLINICAL APPLICATION
   
This manipulation is also known as the manipulation of lifting or manipulation of the spine pinching of the spine. It is applied to the spine and the lateral areas of it. This technique has the effect of promoting digestion to remove stagnation, strengthening spleen and stomach, regulating the spleen and stomach to remove moisture and promote qi to activate blood circulation. Epigastric distension and fullness, indigestion, anorexia and chronic diarrhea can be treated with maniptflation.


Squeezing Manipulation (Jifa)
      
METHOD OF OPERATION
      
Grip the skin around a point and lift it gently with both the thumb and forefinger. Then press the point in the opposite direction with force to cause pain in the local area around the point. The process of picking, pressing each point must be less than ten times.
      
CLINICAL APPLICATION
    
The method is suitable for all body parts. It is mainly used on Taiyang (EX-HN 5), Yintang (EX-HN 3), Fengchi (GB 20) and other acupoints on the head, and is also used on Jianjing (GB 21) and acupoints on the chest , abdomen and back. The method has the effect of dispersing the wind to ease the outside, diaphoresis to reduce fever and to remove blood stasis to eliminate the mass. Cold, headache, heat of summer, vomiting, nausea, liver stagnation and blood stasis can be treated with this manipulation.
Pounding Manipulation (Daofa)
      
METHOD OF OPERATION
       
Handling is done by hitting certain points or areas in rhythm with the tip of the middle finger or the process of the proximal interphalangeal joint flexion index and middle finger. In operation, the wrist is used as the center and the relocation of the strike must be elastic.
      
CLINICAL APPLICATION
    
The handling is adequate at all points of the body, particularly those on the palm, spine and back like the beats Xiaotianxin. It has the action to remove the obstructing, expelling pathogenic cold, pain and calming the mind. The manipulation is commonly used to treat seizures, fever, agitation of fear and spasm of members, etc.


   Manipulation flicking (TANF)
      
METHOD OF OPERATION
      
Handling is done by shaking and hitting the area or points quickly and continuously, with the finger of one or more fingers. In operation, the platform supports the thumb nail of the operation of its interphalangeal finger to make rapid movements of flexion and extension so that the surface of the finger to flip quickly and permanently treated area and acupoints. The force applied must be even, and the frequency is 80 to 120 times per minute (Fig. 45).
      
CLINICAL APPLICATION

The method is often used in the compatibility of the treatment of stiffness in the neck, headache, cough, asthma, abdominal distention, diarrhea and constipation, etc.
