He is one of jewels in the treasure house of cultural heritage of China and a component of traditional Chinese medicine.

Qigong is an art and the ability to form qi. To be exact, it is a method by which the practitioner is physical and mental through the self-involving his subjective initiative. To achieve this objective, the practitioner must associate his mind, postures and breathing and acting on the body. First, it activates the self-regulating functional activities of the organization and maintain a dynamic balance. On the other hand, it allows the body to produce an "energy-storing" reaction, reduce energy consumption and increase the accumulation of energy, the effects of regulation of yin and yang, dredging of channels and collaterals and emitting external qi.

Qigong has a long history and diversity of schools. While the "internal qi (neiqi)" of qigong and the "external qi (waiqi) emitted by qigong masters are invisible and inaudible to ordinary people, qigong is widely seen as mysterious and profound.
