Clinical Application
The asthma, prolonged cough, shortness of breath, palpitations, heart pain, tachycardia and coronary artery disease.
Method
The patient is sitting upright. The acupuncturist chooses 1.5 cun cun filiform needles or 2. The left is needled first and then the right of the top line of the lower part. Two needles are parallel. The needle tips are inserted obliquely along the acupoints in the skin to a depth of 1.2 - 1.5 cun. Turn the needle at a frequency of more than 200 times per minute. When the acu-esthesia of pain
or distention arises, there are hot sensation in the chest. Turn the needles for consecutive periods of 2 to 3 minutes and retain the needles 5 to 10 minutes. Then turn the needle 1 to 2 minutes before the other 5 - 10 minutes of retention. Remove the needle after 1 - 2 minutes rotational manipulation of the third time (Fig. 5 -53).
